Job Summary
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment within depot. The primary duties will include troubleshooting electrical issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Job Details
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including cabling issues, control panel issues, component failures, and system malfunctions.
- Installation & Upgrade: Assist in the installation of new electrical equipment and systems and implement upgrades to existing systems as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of electrical tools and materials.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders & maintenance logs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance crews to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve technical issues.
- Emergency Response: Be available for emergency repairs and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of electrical systems.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 5 years
Educational Qualification: OND in Electrical Engineering
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC and power distribution)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment
- Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
- Knowledge of motors, generators, and control panels
