Job Summary
This role is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, security, and reliability of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, creating a stable and secure environment to support the business's effective and efficient functioning.
Job Details
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and servers
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability
- Perform regular system updates and patch management
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access to our systems and networks
- Manage user accounts and permissions, including creating and deleting user accounts and setting up their access levels
- Troubleshoot system failures and coordinate with vendor support teams to resolve issues
- Manage Active Directory and Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure
- Monitor network traffic and identify and mitigate security threats, including viruses and malware
- Deploy and manage virtualization technologies such as VMWare
- Manage users, computers and other organisation units on Active Directory
- Configure and manage site-to-site and remote VPN connections across the business locations
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
Requirements
Experience
- 3-4 years’ experience as a System Administrator or a similar role in an organization
Educational
- Minimum of Bachelor’s /HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of 2.2
- Relevant Master’s Degree is an advantage
Professional Qualifications
- Relevant certification such as ITILv4, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) and similar is an added advantage
